Strive for perfection and embrace the imperfections, is a phrase I’ve come to learn to embody. When creating my pieces, I try to stay away from preconceived notions of how an individual piece is going to look or what to expect and to step away from the preciousness that can go into creating. the process of creating then becomes a dialogue that I have with my art, depicting moments of creating. I find that each piece correlates with my state of mind while wielding oil soaked tools that are then transferred to paper.
